Description: This reservoir was completed in 1965 on the
west branch of the Mahoning river. The average depth is 25 Feet,
withthe max depth being 47 feet.
The shore line is mostly wooded with a little brush. it is 90%
mud, 5% marsh and 5% riprap.The reservoir bottom is mostly sand
and mud with gravel in the shallows. The vegetation is milfoil
and coontail, the weedline is down about 10 feet.
Largemouth out number smallmouth 2-1, crappie average 9-11 and
some in the 14-16 inch rage can be had. Smaillies can be found
in the rocks around the shore of the camp ground area.
There are still some stripers being caught. |
